They say you shouldn't see how the sausage is made, but in the world of Wood Bully, the "making of" is just as gritty as the final product. Today, we (Unmanned AV) officially dropped the first episode of the new season, and while Gord is focused on the miters and the joists, our team was focused on surviving the sawdust and creating a compelling story while also capturing the authenticity of the team.

This Episode of WoodBully was filmed, edited, and produced by Unmanned AV

Building on a Legacy: A Shoutout to Unbound Vision

Before we dive into the new look, we have to acknowledge the foundation. This series began with the incredible team at Unbound Vision. They poured their heart into the initial vision of Wood Bully, and we are incredibly honored that they trusted Unmanned to take the baton. Our goal was to build on the world they created, staying true to the soul of the show while bringing our signature high-end production value to the screen.

High Stakes and High Quality

At Unmanned, we believe the trades deserve a prestige TV feel. For this premiere, we focused on two main pillars:

  • The Macro Detail: Every cut and every screw was captured with crystal-clear precision. We wanted the viewer to feel the texture of the wood and the tension in the air.

  • Generating the Hype: Our edit was designed to build momentum. This is a high-octane competition that keeps you leaning in from the first frame.

The Secret Sauce: Chuck and Massimo

While the builds are the draw, the panelists are the heart of this episode. We worked closely with the team to ensure their personalities popped on screen.

Chuck and Massimo are the absolute stars of the panel. Their quick wit and sense of humour bring a much-needed levity to the high-pressure environment. Our production team focused on prompting the crew and capturing the banter between these two, ensuring their comedic timing was as sharp as the saws on site. If you aren’t laughing while you are learning, you aren’t watching Wood Bully.

The Unmanned Standard

This episode is a testament to what happens when a production crew is as passionate about the final product as the builders are. We pushed the panelists, hyped the crew, and captured every hilarious jab from the peanut gallery.
